Myra Bloor

November 29, 1925 – April 7, 2017

Elizabeth Elmyra (Myra) Bloor was born on November 29, 1925 in Dayton, Wash. to Lillie and William Wardrip. She died on April 7, 2017 in Richland, Wash. She attended school in Waitsburg and graduated from high school in 1944. She married Ben Bloor on March 6, 1949. They had two children, Bill and Terry.

She delivered mail for many years in rural Prescott. She had a close relationship with those on her mail route and many left her Christmas presents in their mailboxes.

Myra was a great daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. From her earliest days, she enjoyed playing the piano. She taught piano to several local children and enjoyed playing in church. She rarely missed a school or sports event of her children or grandchildren. She enjoyed the Odako Club and had close friendships with the club members. In her later years she was in an assisted living facility in Richland. But even with her physical and mental abilities diminishing, she still was unfailing positive, kind and loving.

She is predeceased by her husband, her mother and father and two brothers, Robert Dale Wardrip and Dickie Wardrip.

She is survived by William E. Bloor of Port Angeles, his two children Kimberly Elizabeth Bloor of Olympia, Washington and Benjamin Tyler Bloor of Orlando, Florida, Terry J. Bloor of Richland, Washington and his wife, Sharon.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Waitsburg cemetery.
