Johnson's Character Unquestioned

Dear Editor,

I write this letter in support of the re-election of Jim Johnson as Walla Walla County Commissioner.

Walla Walla County has been blessed over the past several years with dedicated, intelligent and hardworking County Commissioners, and Jim Johnson has proven to be one of the very best. Jim’s professional background and experience as an accountant, business owner and commercial property owner has served us well as he has made difficult but pragmatic and common sense decisions as to how our tax dollars can best be allocated and spent.

Jim’s good character is unquestioned, and his demeanor in the public sessions of the Commission that I have attended has always been polite and considerate to those in attendance. He listens, questions, considers, and then decides. He has been and will continue to be the type of leader that we need in local government.

After this current election cycle we will have one new County Commissioner, and one who has served but two years of his first four-year term. Jim Johnson has served on the Commission for five years and will not only bring a much needed perspective on where Walla Walla County has been, and why, but where we need to go in the future.

Please join me in voting for Jim Johnson as Walla Walla County Commissioner.

Thomas K. Baffney
