DAYTON - Next week, May 2-6, is National Teacher Appreciation Week. Since 1984, the first week in May has designated as a special time to honor the men and women who lend their passion and skills to educating our children.

Dayton school superintendent Doug Johnson is asking parents, students, and other community members to take a moment to give a special thanks to local teachers and former teachers for their dedication to the success of local kids.
