Waitsburg Matbird Lash LaRue placed first in his weight division in the 11-12 age group at the Jason Crawford Memorial Wrestling Tournament at the Spokane Arena on Sat., April 9. In 2012 the tournament established a world record for the "largest single-day youth wrestling tournament in the world." Between 1,200 and 1,300 between the ages of 5-14 come from across Washington, Idaho, and Montana to compete in the tournament each year.
