DAYTON – Alder Family Dental has announced that Dr. Rachel Deininger has begun serving patients in their Dayton office and will soon become the primary dentist in that office.

Dr. Deininger will take over the practice that Alder purchased from Dr. Norm Passmore last year and continues to operate at its Main Street location in Dayton.

Dr. Deininger has been in practice for about seven years, and joined Alder Family Dental in September. She is a California native and a graduate of Walla Walla University.

Dr. Deininger's husband, Korey Zbaraschuk, is a physical therapist at Dayton General Hospital. The couple has a three-year-old daughter and one-year-old son.

Alder has also announced that Dr. Passmore will return to the office to work on a temporary basis during the transition. He told The Times he expects to work only through June. Dr. Deininger will work one day per week during the interim period, while Dr. Passmore works two days per week.

Alder Family Dental has its main office in Walla Walla and also recently purchased a practice in Pendleton. It is owned by Dr. William Sharkey and Dr. Graham McEntire.
