DAYTON – Kyle Gradwohl scored 26 points Friday night, 15 of which came on five three-point shots, as the Waitsburg Cardinals knocked off Dayton, 45-36.
The Bulldogs led for most of the first half, taking a 19-17 lead into intermission. But a 19-6 outburst in the third quarter by the Cardinals was too much for Dayton to overcome.
Besides his big scoring night, Gradwohl also pulled down eight rebounds. Jacob Dunn added seven points for Waitsburg.
Dayton's Ben Kleck had a big night as well, dropping in 19 points, including two three-pionters.
