Waitsburg

Jan. 15

Domestic violence reported on Harmon St. Juvenile suspect was not arrested and adult victim left residence.

Jan. 17

Theft of gravel from county gravel pile on Garden St. Suspect contacted and agreed to pay county for gravel.

Jan. 18

Violation of protection order reported; violation occurred on Jan. 8.

Columbia County

Dec. 27

Erratic vehicle reported in Davis Hollow area. Silver Ford or Toyota pickup on a closed road tearing up the area.

Dec. 28

Unwanted subject refusing to leave residence in 300 block of E. Richmond. Subject left upon deputies arrival. Report of two males possibly breaking into business on 4th and Main. Unfounded, however Oscar Hayes, 32, of Raleigh WV, was charged with driving while license suspended in the third degree and booked into Columbia County Jail. Unwanted subject at county fairgrounds; settled by deputy contact.

Dec. 29

Vehicle prowl in 1400 block of S. 2nd; car was not locked and cup of change was missing. Report of a vehicle that had been parked along the roadway and was now on Seneca grass. Vehicle appeared to have been left in neutral.

Dec. 30

Verbal-only domestic violence on 500 block of S. 5th; parties separated. Hit and run power pole vs. vehicle collision on 200 block of W. Main, possibly involving a Toyota Tacoma that suffered front-end damage. Under investigation. Report of stolen skis at Ski Bluewood. Skis were located a week later at a Bluewood ski rack. Anthony Nieto Jr., 37, Dayton, arrested and booked into jail for failing to comply with court orders.

Dec. 31

Report of “gas drive off” in 200 block of N. 3rd. Unfounded as money was located on the counter. Reporting party stuck in a snow drift on Wilson Hollow. Has proper survival gear but would like Kyle’s Towing contacted.

Jan. 1

Two juveniles arrested in 900 block of S. 3rd on JJC warrants and transferred to Walla Walla. Verbal disagreement and property dispute on 1200 block of s. 5th. Parties advised of avenues to pursue.

Jan. 2

Juvenile lost control and hit a power pole and the 400 block of N. Cottomwood; cited for driving without a license and driving too fast for conditions.

Jan. 3

Report of yelling and “stuff” being knocked over in 500 block of Cameron Court. Deputy determined verbal response to football game.

Jan. 4

Verbal-only domestic violence in 700 block of s. 5th. Set of keys and knife found on courthouse laws and placed into found property. Caller lost wallet in Dec. and learned credit cars are being used in Walla Walla. Referred to WWPD. COKE machine broken into and coin box missing on Lyons Ferry Road. Under investigation. Joseph Richter, 31, Dayton, was arrested and booked into jail on charges of criminal trespassing it the first degree. Report of a missing horse from the fairgrounds. Advised it was civil as no ownership papers could be produced.

Jan. 6

Verbal-only domestic violence in 500 block of E. Tremont. Report of residential burglary on 300 block of S. 3rd. Suspect named, however caller doesn’t want to press charges. Burglary reported on 300 block of E. Jackson. Flannel blanket in front of slider is missing and occupant believes the dog may have scared off the burglar.

Jan. 7

William Richards, 46, Elma, booked into jail on charges of failing to appear. Verbal only domestic violence in 1400 block of S. 2nd.

Jan. 8

Fight reported in 100 block of Dayton Ave. Parties separated on deputies arrival and unwanted subject was transported to mothers residence. Wallet recovered after having been lost, but missing between $200 and $350.

Jan. 9

Lindsay Auchterlonie, 29, warned for speed and cited for DUI. Two reports of family disturbance in 500 block of W. Cameron; parties separated for the night.

Jan. 10

Citizen found an old safe in the borrow ditch off Weinhard Road. The very old, empty safe was approx. 18” x 18” x 18”.

Jan. 11

White sheep reported on Weinhard Hill by the Green Giant. Sheep has been there for at least a few weeks and caller is unsure who the owner is. Water was turned on at a residence in the 600 block of E. Main and it flooded the residence. Under investigation.

Jan. 12

Report of an inmate repeatedly calling an individual. Inmate was talked to and jail phones were turned off for the night.

Jan. 14

Twenty vehicle prowls occurring in the S. 6th, S. 7th, central Dayton and S. 4th areas. Most owners report missing small change and having contents of glove box strewn around. One vehicle was in garage and tools and binoculars were taken.

Jan. 15

Assisted WWSO execute a search warrant. Car prowl in 1300 of S. 4th; binoculars and spotting scope taken. Verbal only domestic disturbance in 300 block of E. Richmond.

Jan. 16

Report of binoculars stolen on Dec. 10th, in 400 block of E. Main.
