Dayton

Dec. 6

Unsuccessful attempt to break into building on 500 block of W. Main, door was damaged. Cabin doors were tied open with no one around on N. Touchet road. Two bicycles were found in a ditch on 4th and Creamery. Report of a juvenile runaway, unfounded. Unwanted subject on Weinhard Rd., subject willingly left on deputy arrival.

Dec. 7

Report of food stamp card being stolen last week in 200 block of S. willow. Collision on US-12, transferred to WSP and assisted with traffic control. Terry Riner, 46, Dayton, was booked into Columbia County Jail on warrant. Brandon Lowe-Web, 23, Walla Walla, was booked into Columbia County Jail on warrant and bailed out. Numerous calls and incidents of branches down, water across roadway and mudslides following storm. Unwanted subject on 500 block of W. Cameron; gone upon deputy arrival.

Dec. 8

A juvenile offense sexual assault was reported. Complaint of garbage blowing around on 300 block of N. 3rd; owner advised they would take care of it. Mail/phone fraud calls stating the victims have won a prize and must cash the check and mail back a portion or send a small payment via credit card to claim the prize. Report of possible poaching on Lewis Gulch. Steven Pearson, 68, Dayton was booked into county jail for DUI following a non-reportable collision.

Dec. 9

Unwanted subject at 500 block of W. Cameron; gone upon deputy arrival. Mud slide on Kellogg Hollow Rd. Frank Mackey-Ledford, 30, Milton Freewater turned himself in to be booked into county jail on local warrants. Report of theft in 1000 block of S. 3rd; vehicle was moved from where it was originally parked. Joey Richter, 31, Dayton was arrested for 1st degree criminal trespass.

Dec. 10

Multiple fraud calls reported. The calls advise that victims owe the IRS money and must make immediate payment with a credit card. Non-injury accident on 200 block of E. Main. Complain of younger men running up on multiple front porches in 100 block of W. Richmond Ave. “Land & Sea” sales was advised to contact City Hall for a permit. Report of trespassing in 200 block of Dayton Ave. was unfounded; individual had permission. Report of harassments by individual receiving unwanted texts was unfounded. Complaint of a confrontation and physical assault on 100 block of N. Cherry. Suspect was gone upon deputy arrival; charges pending.

Dec. 11

Tyler Usko, 30, Dayton was cited for DWLS 3rd and expired vehicle license. Usko was booked on a Walla Walla felony warrant and bailed out. Fraud call advising victim has “won $9,000 for being a good citizen.” Traffic control for a power pole on fire in 500 block of S. 6th and 400 block of N. 3td.
