The first Saturday in June marks Waitsburg's annual Community Yard Sale. In this photo, taken last year, Markeeta Little Wolf got a head start on her treasure hunting, and grins as she brings home a wheelbarrow load of goods the Friday before the sale's official start date. This year, 18 sales are officially listed (cut out the handy map below and take it with you!) but there are typically many sales not listed on the map as well, so be sure and tour the streets to see what you can find. The sale at Preston Park is a fundraiser for the Blue Mountain Youth Soccer Association, so be sure to stop in and check it out. (You will also want to have some change on hand for the many kids who to sell cookies, nachos and lemonade.)
