Andrews Gets Two Wins at Regionals

Dayton track star will compete at state in four events

SPOKANE – Dayton's Kaitlyn Andrews won two events and took two seconds at the 2B District 7/9 regional meet here Friday. She led the Dayton girls' team to a tie for sixth place among 17 girls' teams.

Andrews won the javelin and long jump events and was second in the 100 meters and triple jump. She qualified for state in all four events.

Dayton's Angela Mascall also qualified for state with a fifth-place finish in the 200 meters.

The state 2B championship meet begins Thursday in Cheney.
