Waitsburg

Apr. 5

Theft of fuel from West 5th Street.

Apr. 8

Residential burglary, theft, criminal trespass and malicious mischief at Bruce House Memorial Museum on Main Street.

Apr. 9

Residential burglary, theft, criminal trespass and malicious mischief at Wilson-Phillips House Museum on West 4th Street. Hit and run and DUI on Hulce Lane; suspect was located and arrested.

Apr. 10

Residential burglary, theft, criminal trespass and malicious mischief at Bruce House Memorial Museum on Main Street.

Dayton

Apr. 5

Vandalism reported on E. Richmond Avenue; vehicle was egged on the previous night. Deputies assisted Walla Walla Police Department in attempting to locate a vehicle involved in a possible hit and run. Non-injury collision reported on Tucannon Road near milepost 3; vehicle struck a deer.

Apr. 6

Traffic complaint on S. 1st Street; camper blocking the road.

Apr. 7

Drug paraphernalia found in the public restroom on S. 3rd Street; items were taken for destruction. Deputies located a juvenile runaway out of Spokane; juvenile was turned over to Child Protective Services.

Apr. 8

Rocks reported in the roadway near milepost 1 on Smith Hollow Road. Money reportedly stolen from a bank account; reported on N. 4th Street. Deputies assisted College Place Police Department in attempting to locate a runaway possibly in Dayton; deputies were unable to locate. Caller on E. Washington Avenue reportedly receiving threats from adult son. Trespass reported on Hatley Gulch Road; an unoccupied gray F150 pickup was blocking the entrance to the caller’s land. Dayton male Albert Yacovelli, 22, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a Domestic Violence assault charge. Caller reporting a neighboring shooting in an unsafe direction near milepost 19 on Tucannon Road; deputy contacted the neighbor and gave directions to the nearest gun range.

Apr. 9

Trespassing reported near milepost 1 on Wolf Fork Road; a white Ford pickup reportedly trespassing but prior to deputy arrival it was determined to be utility workers. Vandalism reported at the entrance to the Rainwater Wildlife Area on Robinette Mountain; caller stated somebody shot up the treated fence posts.

Apr. 10

Suspicious truck in driveway on Whetstone Road; deputies were unable to locate the vehicle after it left the area. Deputies assisted a stranded boater on the Snake River near Lyons Ferry Marina. Theft reported on S. 4th Street; previous renters allegedly removed property from the home. Suspicious female and three males walking down S. 4th Street and looking in people’s garbage cans. Verbal fight between two males reported on E. Main Street; deputies arrived and separated them. Additional verbal altercation reported on E. Main Street.

Apr. 11

Firearms offense; caller on Stedman Road reported hearing four or five low-caliber gun shots; deputies responded and located a .22 LR pistol in the area and are still investigating the incident.
