Dayton

Feb. 16

Deputies arrested 26-year-old Dayton resident Heather Dame on a Columbia County felony warrant. Deputies assisted Franklin County Sheriff’s Office with a single-vehicle, non-injury collision on Palouse Falls Road in which the driver lost control of the vehicle on a corner and caused damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle; both driver and passenger were uninjured, however the driver was cited for speed too fast for conditions. Deputies arrested 19-year-old Dayton man Dante Brown on a warrant from the Department of Corrections. Vandalism and theft reported on E. Richmond Avenue; gas siphoned from vehicle and possible damage to fuel tank. Possible violation of a protection order reported on E. Main Street. Report of hunters spotlighting a residence at night on Tucannon Road; deputies responded but were unable to locate.

Feb. 17

Traffic complaint; caller reported that vehicles are not stopping for pedestrians in the cross walk on W. Main Street. Dayton man Yancy Yost, 35, was arrested on W. Commercial Street on suspicion of driving with a suspended license and no ignition interlock. Theft reported on E. Washington Avenue; deputies recovered items from ex-boyfriend.

Feb. 18

Theft reported on Wolf Fork Road; caller stated property was taken from residence by ex-wife. Suspicious activity; caller reported a male urinating in an alley off E. Main Street. Deputies arrested 29-year-old Dayton resident Miguel Acevedo on suspicion of violating a protection order. Theft reported on S. Cottonwood Street; caller stated that sometime in the last month somebody took an irrigation pipe from the property. Theft of a bicycle reported on W. Dayton Avenue.

Feb. 19

Theft reported on S. 4th Street; caller advised that an adult son had removed a firearm from the residence without permission.

Feb. 20

Non-injury collision reported on Chandler Road; caller reported that a neighbor backed into a trailer resulting in minimal damage according to the deputy. Vandalism reported on S. 6th Street; somebody in a vehicle was reportedly shooting paintballs at the residents, but deputies were unable to locate the suspects.

Feb. 21

Deputies arrested Dayton residents Robert Wilbur, Jr., 26, and Erin Kuzinich, 51, on warrants and on suspicion of driving with suspended licenses. Deputies also arrested Dayton resident Annie Montgomery, 28, on a probation violation.

Feb. 22

Deputies arrested Dayton man Dustin Miller, 25, on warrants out of Benton County. Walla Walla resident Brandon Low-Webb, 22, was cited on suspicion of driving on a suspended license.

Feb. 23

Vandalism reported that took place in November; somebody put a substance into the motor of a loader that ruined the machinery and is not covered by warranty.
