Waitsburg

Jan 15:

Deputies responded to Stonecipher Road for a report of domestic violence. No arrest made.

Jan. 16:

Deputies responded to Stonecipher Road for a reported unwanted person. While en-route, deputies learned the unwanted person had arrest warrants. After trying to hide, suspect was located and arrested.

Dayton

Jan. 13

Unwanted subject refusing to leave the premises on S. 3rd Street; subject left area when deputies responded. Harassment reported at Cameron Courts regarding several subjects who visited the residence the night before. Report of juveniles banging on doors and running away on S. 5th Street.

Jan. 14

Deputies responded to a fight reported between two juvenile females at the Dayton High School regarding issues that occurred off school grounds; investigation is ongoing although no injuries were reported and no citations were issued. Aggressive dog reported on E. Washington Avenue; the dog was in a homeowner’s yard but had been removed by its unidentified owner prior to the deputy’s arrival.

Jan. 15

Deputies checked on a suspicious vehicle parked near the train trestle on W. Commercial Street; the vehicle was unoccupied with its driver-side window rolled down. A non-injury collision was reported after a westbound vehicle struck a deer on Highway 12 at milepost 388 damaging the passenger side of the vehicle and requiring it to be towed. A vehicle collided with a dirt embankment on Highway 12 at milepost 382 when it left the roadway; the driver was treated on scene by emergency medical technicians. Two motorcycles were stolen from a residence on W. Clay Street. A caller reported that a reckless driver failed to stop on N. 1st Street when the school bus lights were activated.

Jan. 16

Deputies responded to a report that an adult male was causing a disturbance on S. 4th Street; they contacted the man, who was upset, and resolved the situation. A large, red tricycle was found by the foot bridge on E. Tremont Street and returned to its owner. A vehicle was blocking a resident’s driveway on E. Park Street; the vehicle owner was contacted and moved it out of the way. A deputy was flagged down by a citizen on E. Main Street to take a report regarding threats being made to the citizen’s juvenile son by another adult male. A reckless driver in a Mustang was called in heading westbound on Highway 12 near milepost 382; deputies located the vehicle driving through Dayton and did not observe any reckless driving.

Jan. 17

Nothing to report.

Jan. 18

A brown, 1997 Ford Expedition was stolen from a driveway on E. Washington Avenue sometime during the night; the vehicle was recovered abandoned on Eckler Mountain Road the following morning. A non-injury collision occurred on Highway 12 at milepost 360 when a vehicle collided with a deer; the vehicle’s airbags deployed but the driver refused medical treatment.
