WWCC Offers Community Classes in Dayton

DAYTON – Walla Walla Community College offers community education courses in all sorts of subjects, but did you know you can now take courses in Dayton?

Beginning this winter, the Dayton Historic Depot and Blue Mountain Station are hosting four WWCC community education courses including quilting, memoir writing, soup making, and coffee appreciation – each course taught by talented locals: Aileen Warren, Tamara Fritze, Tami Miller, and Rey Weldert.

Community education allows local residents to take up a new hobby, study another language, set up to speed with technology, and much more. Learning opportunities are designed to be relaxed and fun – no tests, no grades, and no credits.

Courses available through WWCC in Walla Walla include community kitchens, wine knowledge, health/fitness classes, social media, customer service training, and continuing education.

For more information on the community education courses being offered in Dayton or to be placed on the mailing list for future classes, contact Luci Berg, program assistant, at (509) 527-4331 or luci.berg@wwcc.edu or Jodi Worden, coordinator, at (509) 527-4561 or jodi.worden@wwcc.edu.

Berg is also requesting that anyone with a talent who wants to teach a course in Dayton send her an email with information.
