CHAD DALE MOCK

Chad Dale Mock, Milton Freewater, Oregon passed peacefully from this earth on August 31, 2014 and has "Gone to prepare a place for us." He died peacefully in his sleep. Funeral services will be Friday, September 5, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1151 N. Elizabeth St., Milton-Freewater. Concluding services and interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Waitsburg, Washington.

Mr. Mock was born August 24, 1921 in Waitsburg, WA the son of Roy V. and Irean Harrington Mock. He was a High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a sergeant in the Army Air Corps during World War II and served training hospital personnel for 5 years, 9 months and 3 days. He then became Chief Medical Administrator for the Veterans Administration Hospital Systems where he retired in 1976 after 37 years of service. Mr. Mock married Jolene Wuest in Burien, WA on Nov. 22, 1971. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Medical Administrators Association.

He is survived by his wife Jolene Mock, a son Ronald Mock, daughters Nicole Trichler, Angela Mock, step-children Christine May, Connie McKinley, Tracy Huntington,

Marlena Borromeo, Marvin Wuest, Virginia Harmon, Janel Kurtz, a granddaughter Laura Mock, and 3 grandsons John, Dale and Michael LaChance. Mr. Mock would like to mention his "Church Children," which he loved for they were a large part of his life: Sheree Astrom, Richard Clodius, Alan Nelson, Jay and Judy Lightle, Helen Litwin, Mark Anthony Brown and two exchange students Darek Smehlik and Armand LeLoup.

Mr. Mock was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother Lucile, his daughter Cynthia Marie LaChance, and his first wife Florence Gailbraith.
