Andrews Wins Three Events at Columbia-Burbank

BURBANK - Kaitlyn Andrews continued her domination of the javelin events at local meets with a win at the Columbia- Burbank track and field meet last week here. Her throw of 109 feet was far off her best mark, but it was enough to win the event.

Andrews also won the 100 meter dash, in a time of 13.43, and the long jump, with a best jump of 15 feet, 10 ½ inches. In the shot put, Andrews came up second, with a throw of 29 feet, 4 ½ inches.

Also for Dayton's girls, Angie Dedloff had an outstanding jump of 24 feet, six inches, to finish second in the triple jump.

On the boys' side, Dayton's Finnish exchange student, Oscar Teixeira, continued his strong hurdles showings by winning the 110 meter men's hurdles event. He also finished eighth in the 100 meter dash.

Levi Leib had a strong fifth place in the 800 meter race, followed by Matthew Warren in sixth.
