Pottery Exhibit at Dumas Station

DAYTON - Dumas Station is hosting a pottery exhibit the weekend of May 2-4 -- Spring Release Weekend -- with artist Loren Lukens of Seattle. Lukens creates functional, useful pottery that is also beautiful and will display vases, bowls, mugs and tableware.

Dumas Station will be releasing their new 20012 Merlot on Friday, May 2, and pouring this alongside other recently released wines. Friday also marks the beginning of no tasting fees at Dumas Station. "Since we're not on the main wine circuit in Walla Walla, we don't get all of the tourists. The people that come visit us have usually been recommended by friends or family members. They come for the wine, and end up staying because they feel comfortable with us and the lack of pretention. We're just farmers, who happen to make some really good wine," said owner and winemaker Jay DeWitt.

Hours for Spring Release Weekend at Dumas Station are: Friday 1p.m. - 5 p.m.; Saturday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
