WAITSBURG - The Waitsburg Celebration Days committee is hard at work making sure that next month's weekend celebration is a success. New events include an ATV Poker Run on Saturday and a Lawn Mower Obstacle Course on Sunday. A Kiddie Parade will precede the traditional Saturday morning parade, with all the young entrants receiving ribbons. There will also be a stage set up at the fairgrounds to showcase local talent on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. All are welcome to show up and share their skills. Entry and registration forms for all events can be found under the Events link on the City of Waitsburg website at www.cityofwaitsburg.org

Volunteers are still needed to run kid-friendly events at the fairgrounds on Sunday afternoon. The Celebration Days Committee meets weekly at 5 p.m. on Mondays at the Waitsburg Business Center at 111 Preston Avenue. Anyone interested in volunteering in any capacity or providing input or suggestions is encouraged to attend.
