Herb and Norma Bessey announce the engagement of their son, Michael, to Genna Palmer, daughter of Larry and Jill Palmer of Gar- field, WA.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Garfield-Palouse High School and graduated from Central Washington University in 2008 with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Law and Justice with a minor in Sociology. She also studied at Western Governors University where she received her elementary Teaching certificate in 2012. A 2004 graduate of Waitsburg High School, Michael earned his Associ- ates in Arts and Associates in Science from Walla Walla Community College. He then continued on to Eastern Washington University where he received his Bach- elor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2010.

After an October wedding in Moscow, ID the couple will make their home in the Prescott area where Michael works for John Grant and Son farms and Genna plans to work in the local schools.
