Now It’s Up to Voters

WAITSBURG - Most voters in the Touchet Valley received their ballots in the mail on Friday for this year's general election. Campaigning in Walla Walla and Columbia Counties is winding down, as voters prepare to make their decisions.

According to the Walla Walla County Auditor's office, there are more than 31,000 registered voters in the county. Columbia County has a little over 2,600 registered voters.

Turnout for the primary election in Walla Walla County was just over 43%. In Columbia County, the primary election turnout was almost exactly 50%.
