John and Jill Wood lead the way through a colorful balloon arch during the Survivor's lap at Saturday's Relay-for- Life event in Dayton. Dayton resident, honored speaker Teri Hessler shared her survivor story during the opening ceremonies. Hessler said she was amazed at the support and love she received from the community during her battle with breast cancer. "I can't say that I wanted cancer, but I woudln't have missed the experience of learning just how loved I am," said Hessler. This year's theme was "Finish the Fight -- Celebrate Life!"
