WALLA WALLA - The Dayton Bulldogs hit a buzz saw Saturday in the form of the DeSales Irish, as they were shut out on both ends of a double-header. After losing the first game 9-0, Irish Pitcher Adam Eskil threw a no-hitter against the Bulldogs, as DeSales won 11-0.

Dayton Pitcher Lowden Smith had good game 1, giving up only four hits. But six Bulldog errors allowed the Irish to run away with the game early. They were up by eight runs after the first two innings. Ben Kleck got Dayton's only hit of the game.

In the second game, Guy Spallinger pitched well through the first two innings, holding DeSales to two runs. But the Irish busted out nine runs in the third to put the game away.
