DW Cruises to Win at Lyle, 52-0
Dominant defense forces five fumbles against young Lyle-Wishram team
LYLE, Wash. – The Dayton-Waitsburg football team took a four-hour-plus bus ride down the Columbia River gorge on Friday and came away with a 52-0 win over Lyle-Wishram.
The win puts DW in a tie for first place with Kittitas in the Eastern Washington Athletic Conference. Each team has a 3-0 league record. DW is 4-1 overall.
"It was nice to have a great game on the road," said DW Coach Troy Larsen. "They have a very young team; a lot of freshmen and sophomores," he said of L-W. "Our defense got great penetration and really dominated them."
