Lady Bulldogs Overwhelm Touchet, 7-1

TOUCHET – The Dayton softball team took on the Touchet Indians in a single game here Thursday, and won easily, 7-1.

Pitcher Megan Robins gave up only one hit, and the Lady Bulldogs took advantage of four Indian errors, as they racked up seven runs on only five hits.

"We had a solid game in Touchet with our pitching, defense, and timely hits," said Dayton assistant coach Desirae Jones. "We ran the bases well, and moved girls when we had the chance."

Robins got six strikeouts and walked only three. She also had two hits, including a triple. Taylor frame also hit a triple in the game, and Madison Mings had a double. Dayton committed only one error.

Athena 11, Dayton 5

ATHENA – An eight-run fifth inning was all Athena needed to stifle the Dayton softball team on March 31 in a game here.

The Lady Bulldogs were leading 4-3 going into the bottom of the fifth inning, when Athena exploded for eight, including a grand slam homerun.

For the game Dayton had three hits and committed five errors.
