DHS Students Shine In FBLA Conference

DAYTON -- Twenty-five Dayton students and five chaperones/advisers traveled to Seattle on Wednesday, April 11 for the FBLA the State Business Leadership Conference that was held April 12-14. Besides competing, members attended workshops, toured Seattle businesses and organizations, enjoyed the sights and sounds of Seattle and took part in a variety of social activities.

Caitlyn Robins is a triple winner. Caitlyn places second in FBLA Principles & Procedures, third in Business Graphics and was teamed with Keelin Hovrud, Taylor Frame, and Matthew Warren to earn fifth in Parliamentary Procedure.

Caitlin Riley brought home a fifth place award in American Enterprise Project and Anita Jackson and Carter Currin placed fifth in Partnership with Business Project.

Malia Frame is selected as State Parliamentarian and Grant Heinrich will serve as Southeast Region Vice President.

Dayton had several members make the finals in their events including Kane Hackett in Help Desk, Hackett and Austin Frame made finals in Banking and Financial Systems and were joined by Carter Currin to final in Network Design.

Kiara Biggar took part in the finals of Electronic Career Portfolio and Chelsey Martin and Kaitlyn Andrews each made finals in Digital Design and Promotion. The team of Malia Frame, Andre Fayette, Alex Naylor, and Keisha Phillips made finals in Parliamentary Procedures. Grant Heinrich participated in the finals of Impromptu Speaking.
